Gnosticism (meaning knowledge) refers to a religious movement (referred to as a Gnostic Priesthood) consisting of multiple beliefs united in the teaching that we are divine souls within a material world created by an imperfect universe. One needs gnosis, or spiritual knowledge available to all through direct experience or knowledge (gnosis) of the universe, within the sects of Gnosticism however only Craft obtain Gnosis. Jesus of Nazareth is identified by some Gnostic sects as an incarnation of the Supreme Being whom brought gnosis to the earth, and that he was ‘equal to’ the Divine Intelligence of Mary Magdalene – The Patron of many Gnostic Orders. It is widely believed that Mary may have been the Divine incarnation. The United Kingdom founder, Jonathan Sinclair is best known for his work within the community facilitating Handfastings, House Blessings, Naming Ceremonies, and Last Rites. Jonathan attends four of the key sites on a regular basis. Take time to visit our Publishing Website. The purpose of Baphomet Lodge is to welcome all to it's doors and guide each and every individual towards the light. A seeker will be given every opportunity to discover scripture over 10,000 years old, and learn how to master the Art of Craft. We celebrate each cycle and practice on inner ritual dates. Our sacred day is Saturday in modern times, where we meet to install the degrees and perform magic. Each degree can take 3-months to 3-years to achieve, and once the Master (or Mistress) of the Lodge is satisfied with the Recipient's progress, a planned path will be agreed. We have no belief system in good or bad, but as each Practitioner performs ritual, he or she will decide which level of energy and power to draw upon to ensure that the magic works. From Spell Craft, Craft Workings, Hex Craft, Oath to Life, The Spheres, Several Stations, and the House of Deity, are all but a few aspects of this path. |
